Jonathan Taylor began his real estate career in 1984 with Dale Denton Real Estate in Washington, DC’s Georgetown neighborhood. After graduating from Colby College in Waterville Maine with a degree in Economics, Jonathan came to DC to live with a friend and found work at work at Houston’s Restaurant. A chance meeting with Dale Denton of Dale Denton Real Estate launched an unexpected career path into residential real estate. A meeting with real estate developer Wallace Tutt two years later led to Jonathan and Wallace opening their own firm in 1988, Tutt Real Estate, Inc. In 1991 a new stage began, and the firm become Tutt, Taylor and Rankin Real Estate, LLC.  Eventually in 2006 the firm became the WDC Metropolitan area’s affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty, now known as TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.

While building a network and strong relationships in the luxury DC real estate market, Jonathan has sold many homes of prominence and worked with many buyers and sellers of prominence from around the world. Of particular note is the sale of 15 Dupont Circle also known at the historic Patterson Mansion in 2013. Jonathan was the listing agent for this extraordinary property which sold for a record at the time of $20 million.  Jonathan has had more than $1 billion in lifetime group sales and attributes his success to remaining active as both a listing and selling broker. TTR Sotheby’s International Realty now has more than 500 associates and ten offices spanning DC, MD and VA representing Sotheby’s International Realty in this world renown and highly coveted marketplace. TTRSIR will close over $5B in sales in 2021!

Outside the office, sports play a large role in Jonathan’s life. A native of New England, he remains an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics fan. He plays tennis and golf, but his true passion is baseball, specifically pitching; he belongs to several local teams and competes in national tournaments.
