Jonathan Taylor is the Founder of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and one of the most experienced residential real estate professionals in the Washington metropolitan area. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has helped shape the region’s luxury residential real estate market while building one of Washington’s leading real estate firms and remaining actively engaged in representing buyers and sellers.

Jonathan began his real estate career in 1984 in Georgetown. In 1988, he and developer Wallace Tutt founded Tutt Real Estate, Inc. Michael Rankin joined the firm in 1991, and it soon became Tutt, Taylor & Rankin Real Estate, LLC. In 2006, the company became the Washington metropolitan area affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty and was introduced as TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.

In 2026, after nearly two decades representing Sotheby’s International Realty throughout the Washington metropolitan region, TTR was acquired by Sotheby’s International Realty. The acquisition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the firm as it becomes more fully integrated into the Sotheby’s International Realty organization and its global network. Jonathan will remain in leadership as Founder, continuing his involvement with the firm, its real estate advisors and, importantly, his own clients.

Throughout the firm’s evolution, Jonathan has remained first and foremost an active real estate advisor. His career includes the representation of many of Washington’s most significant residences and clients, with particular expertise in Georgetown, Kalorama, Massachusetts Avenue Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods of Northwest Washington.

Among his notable transactions was the 2023 sale of 3017 N Street in Georgetown, the former home of Jacqueline Kennedy. Following a highly competitive bidding process involving several billionaire buyers, the historic property sold for $15.1 million. The transaction reflected both the extraordinary international interest generated by one of Georgetown’s most recognizable residences and Jonathan’s longstanding experience in the neighborhood.

Jonathan attributes much of his success and perspective as a leader to remaining personally engaged in the day-to-day business of real estate. Working directly with buyers and sellers keeps him closely connected to changing market conditions and to the needs of both clients and real estate advisors.

A graduate of Colby College with a degree in Economics, Jonathan is a native New Englander and lifelong sports enthusiast. He plays tennis and golf, while baseball—and particularly pitching—remains his greatest sporting passion.
