This prestigious neighborhood along Embassy Row sits on a hill overlooking Dupont Circle and Rock Creek Park. Greek for “fine view,” Kalorama is home to diplomats, C-suite executives, socialites and high-profile residents including the Obamas. Unlike in DC, you won’t find a gridded street system here, giving the leafy streets an even more secluded feel. More than a dozen embassies call Kalorama home, and they often open to the public for concerts, exhibits and events throughout the year. The area is actually comprised of two neighborhoods: Sheridan-Kalorama and Kalorama Triangle. The former is more suburban in feel with large detached homes, while the latter feels more like the city with its attached residences.
Large single-family homes, pre-war condos and co-ops and Georgian, Colonial and Mediterranean mansions draw millions from elite buyers in Kalorama.
